Dear Mr Hurtado Coronado,
I would like to thank you for your e-mail of 3 April 2023, in which you make a confirmatory
application, in accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents.1
In our reply sent on 30 March 2023, we informed you that following a search for
documents, the EEAS had identified one document that matched your request:
1. Briefing book for the visit to Mozambique of the EU High Representative for
Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice President of the European Commission
(HR/VP) on 8-9 September 2022 (final version of 07/09/2022) (document 1).
Following your confirmatory request and the clarification received on the type of
documents you are searching for, the relevant EEAS Division and the EU Delegation in
Mozambique have been contacted and asked to reassess if any additional documents
may be identified as falling within the scope of your request.
After a new search in the EEAS filing systems and document management databases,
I regret to inform you that no additional documents matching your request have been
identified.
As specified in Article 2(3) of the Regulation, the right of access as defined in that
Regulation applies only to existing documents in the possession of the institution.
Given that no such documents, corresponding to the clarification given in your
confirmatory request, are held by the EEAS, the EEAS is not in a position to fulfil your
request.
