Proposal for an extension of the deadline – EASE Case 2023/1701
Dear Mr Hoedeman,
I refer to your request for access to European Commission documents registered on 17
March 2023 under the above-mentioned reference number.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to
complete the handling of your application within the extended time limit of 15 working
days, which expires on 4 May 2023.
The reason for this is that despite the Commission services’ efforts, the request relates to
a very large number of documents, which need to be assessed individually. Such a
detailed analysis cannot be carried out within the normal time limits set out in Article 7
of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. Moreover, the handling of your request involves the
assessment of documents originating from third parties, which need to be consulted on
their disclosure, and might also involve consultation of different services.
Therefore, we propose to answer to your requests as soon as possible, and in any case not
after 31 May 2023.
We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
We kindly ask you to confirm your agreement to this arrangement, to the following
e-mail:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xx.xxxxxx.xx.
Kind regards,
