Keynote Speaker Invitation - Cecilia Malmstrom - Trade Policy Forum
2017.pdf
Dear Commissioner Malmström,
Please find attached an invitation on behalf of Susan Danger, CEO of the American Chamber of
Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU), inviting you to deliver the keynote remarks at our
upcoming event entitled, “A New Era for EU Trade Policy?” on Tuesday 17 October 2017
In light of a continually evolving discussion on the future of trade and globalisation, now marks an
excellent opportunity to further reflect on the challenges and opportunities in the new global economy.
The forum will bring together trade experts and relevant stakeholders from government, business and
civil society to discuss these issues and explore ways to move towards a consensus-driven trade policy
that works for businesses, consumers and citizens.
The forum will take place from Tuesday 17 October from 16.30-19.00 at AmCham EU offices (Avenue
des Arts 53, 1000 Brussels). The event will begin with a panel discussion, followed by a networking
reception during which we would be honoured if you would deliver remarks. The exact timing of your
address can depend on your flexibility that day.
We very much hope that you can accept this invitation, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
