Annex 2: Overview CETA Contact points (article 26.5) (and imposed time schedule,
if available)
1.
Article 26.5 foresees a general CETA contact point to be appointed promptly and
notified to the other Party within 60 days following the entry into force of the
Agreement. The contact point is among other responsible to coordinate
preparations for committee meetings;

Article 5.14 (10) foresees a contact point to be designated for the Joint
Management Committee for Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures "upon entry
into force" (and the other Party should be informed in writing);
3.
Article 6.2 (Customs & Trade Facilitation) foresees each Party to "designate or
maintain one or more contact points" to address inquiries by interested persons
concerning customs matters and make available on the internet information
concerning the procedures for making such inquiries;
4.
Article 10.5 already includes contact points for issues dealing with "Temporary
entry and stay of natural persons for business purposes"1;
5.
Article 11.7 foresees for each Party to establish one or more contact points to
administer the Chapter on "Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications";
6.
Article 20.49 foresees for each Party to establish contact points in its
administration to cooperate with a view to eliminating international trade in goods
infringing intellectual property rights;
7.
Article 21.9 already includes contact points for Regulatory Cooperation2;

Article 23.8 foresees that Each Party shall designate an office to serve as the
contact point for the implementation of the Trade and Labour Chapter and inform
the other Party in writing;
9.
Article 24.13 foresees each Party to designate an office to serve as the contact
point for the implementation of the Trade & Environment Chapter and inform the
other Party in writing;
