Mr Michel Servoz

Brussels, 27 October 2017
CEEP.2017/038
Dear Mr Servoz, dear Michel,
In response to your letter dated 21st September launching the 2nd stage consultation on the written
statement directive, I would like to inform you that CEEP’s answer consists in a mandate for
negotiations, officially adopted by CEEP decision making bodies on the 24th October 2017.
CEEP believes that social partners negotiations are always the first option to explore to achieve
results. This is the case especially when we have the perspective for one of our agreement to be
transposed into a directive.
Faithful to this belief, CEEP is willing and ready to enter negotiations according to article 155 TFUE as
soon as possible, based on a mandate covering all elements of the second stage consultation.
We are now waiting for the answers from our counterparts.
Kind regards,
Valeria Ronzitti
General Secretary
