RE: Letter to UK Home Secretary
Dear
Thank you for sharing your letter to the UK Home Secretary, and for recalling the partnership and initiatives
undertaken in the EU Internet Forum context.
It is indeed important that our efforts remain coordinated, that we achieve maximum synergies and that we avoid
duplication, which would be to the detriment of desired results.
I will relay the letter to the Commissioner, and we of course look forward to continuing to work closely with you in
this area.
Best,
Giorgos

Dear George

lease find attached the final version of the letter that we sent together with Microsoft,
Facebook and Twitter to UK Home Secretary Hon. Amber Rudd. As you can read, we
stressed the importance to keep on investing in the initiatives of the EU Internet Forum, and
more in details, we committed to:

Encourage the further development of technical tools to identify and remove terrorist
propaganda;

Support younger companies that can benefit from the expertise and experiences of
more established ones;

Support the efforts of civil society organisations to promote alternative and counter-
narratives and programs like the Civil Society Empowerment Programme.
I remain at your disposal for further information.
Best regards,
