CONSEIL DE COOPERATION ECONOMIQUE

UNDER THE PERMANENT PATRONAGE OF THE FRENCH ITALIAN PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH GOVERNMENTS

The Conseil de Cooperation Economique, founded in 2002, has been for many years the
most active senior business advisory board, officially consulted by EU institutions and
national governments on sector specific European economic matters. On a yearly basis, 50
senior officials of EU institutions are participating to CCE task force working meetings.

Strong of 60 Chairmen and CEOs from European largest industrial and financial groups,
the CCE relies upon an internal permanent team and 6 practices of experts
(competiveness, energy-climate, digital, environment, transport-infrastructures, finance)
made of 800 high-qualified specialists selected from more than 120 world-class
companies.

On average every year, at least 20 dedicated task forces are active, producing at least 25-
structured recommendation papers
and  Reports on matters of imminent institutional
decision. We are also regularly called for consultation meetings by the Presidencies of the
European Commission and Council and we have been associated to the preparation of the
programs of the rotating Presidencies of the Council of the EU and we are sitting in
various internal working groups of the European Commission.

The CCE is operating on non-profit basis, within the frameworks of EU and national
institutional economic policy-related decision-making processes with regard to the
preparation of directives, official communications, reports and Council conclusions.

We provide institutions with full ecosystem non-partisan problem solving assistance  on
issues related to the most relevant economic initiatives included in the work programs of EU
institutions. Over the years we have also, on request of national governments, provided
extensive recommendations on bilateral and regional matters.

The solutions we propose aim at improving internal and external economic competitiveness
of the EU, with a special attention to Latin and South European countries’ concerns.

Since 2002, a number of proposals issued by our organisation have contributed to the
decision-making of the European Council and Commission, as illustrated by Council
conclusions and Communications / legislative work of the Commission.

Over 15 years of activity the CCE has proven to be a unique tool for a modern and
effective public-private cooperation in the EU
, but also a high profile informal venue
for major economic and political leaders
in Europe.
