Your application for access to documents – Ref. GestDem 2020/7544
Dear Ms Casajuana,
I refer to your application dated 3 December 2020
1, registered on 4 December 2020
under the above-mentioned reference number
2, in which you make a request for access
to:
‘documents in relation to the EU Support on Migration in Morocco. According to
a recent EUTF publication, "Among its neighbours, the EU’s second largest
cooperation portfolio on migration is with Morocco, with a total of €343 million,
out of which around €235 million are drawn from the EU Emergency Trust Fund
for Africa and the rest from other EU financial instruments". You can find the
document here:
https://ec.europa.eu/trustfundforafrica/sites/euetfa/files/eutf-
facsheet_27102020-morocco.pdf. With the objective to know which other EU
financial instruments, how much from those instruments has been given to
support the EU migration policy in Morocco and when, we are requesting any
document containing a breakdown of the total of €343 million reported in the
factsheet referenced above, by funding instrument, by action/project supported
and by year’.
I also refer to your email of 9 December 2020
3, by which you clarified that you prefer
that your request be treated as a request for access to documents under Regulation (EC)
1 Ref. Ares(2020)7348136.
2 Ref. Ares(2020)7348792.

I further refer to our email of 18 December 2020
6, by which we informed you that your
application concerns a large number of documents and by which we asked you to specify
the objective of your application and your specific interest in the documents requested, and
whether you could narrow down the scope of your application (i.e. the subject matter(s)
and/or timeframe covered), so as to reduce it to a more manageable amount of documents.
You replied on 18 December 2020
7 that you accept to reduce the scope of your
application only to tables or lists if this type of documentation allows to easily accessing
the exact information requested, namely (i) the action/project, (ii) the year, and (iii) the
funding instrument.
Following consultation with the concerned unit in DG NEAR, we have managed to
collect all the relevant documents, which you can access by following the links provided
in the attached annex.
