Meeting date and place
Meeting held on 16/02/2021 14:30
Participating organisation(s) & representative(s)
  - - International Association of Oil & Gas Producers Europe (TRN: 3954187491-70)  Requester
Main issues discussed
IOGP support climate neutrality objective and are committed to reducing carbon footprint via efficiency improvements, alternative fuels,
carbon capture solutions etc.
Challenge of energy transition should accommodate more building blocks to help EU reach its targets. TEG proposals written as if 2050 is
tomorrow.
Keen to explore more ground in transitional and enabling activities in taxonomy, allowing for these steps and overall gradual energy
adjustment, in line with Taxonomy Regulation parameters
This could e.g. feature allowing more blended and/or cogeneration solutions or allowing gas power around 350g CO2e/kWh
Timeline for reporting obligations from 2022 are a big challenge, including for non-EU companies
