Dear Energy,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp) on 02/03/2021 between Stefano Grassi, Laure Chapuis-Kombos, and Thor-Sten Vertmann in which “Energy aspects of Fit for 55, renewables and energy efficiency, with special focus on biomass” were discussed.
2- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp) on 19/12/2019 in Brussels by Thor-Sten Vertmann in which “Discussion on sector integration and decarbonization of the Finnish energy system” took place.
3- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp) in a video conference on 12/06/2020 by Thor-Sten Vertmann in which “Business Europe's support to GD, COVID-19 impact on businesses, investments, Business Europe's inputs to energy system integration strategy, 2030 climate target plan, renovation wave, Poss, future cooperation on NECPs and upcoming EC's initiatives” were discussed.
4- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp) in a video conference by Thor-Sten Vertmann on 15/04/2020 in which “Risk-preparedness in electricity sector, impact of crisis on clean energy investments, priorities of electricity sector for the upcoming energy initiatives under the Green Deal” were discussed.
5- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp) in a video conference on 24/06/2021 between Thor-Sten Vertmann, Laure Chapuis-Kombos, and Stefano Grassi in which “Presentation on biomass – use of woody biomass” was discussed.
6- All correspondence (including email, SMS, private Twitter, and WhatsApp between Thor-Sten Vertmann, and Stefano Grassi in an online meeting on15/04/2021 in which “Presentation of CEPI 2030 Industry Manifesto, Discussion on energy efficiency and renewable energy pathways for the paper industry” were discussed.
I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
To the extent possible, I prefer the documents in electronic format. Documents that cannot be sent in electronic format should be sent to Javad Maleki, Övre Sanatoriegatan 42, Lgh 1003, 41681 Göteborg.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also, I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
I reserve the right to appeal.
