Dear Mr Schindler,

The Commission’s Legal Service refers to your request for access to
documents, under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, concerning the notification
requirements of the German ancillary copyright law as well as the Spanish
ancillary copyright law, registered under reference GestDem 2019/6767.

Your application is currently being handled. However, in view of the large
number and nature of the requests for access to documents the Legal
Service is presently dealing with, we have not been in a position to
complete the processing of your application within the time limit of 15
working days, which expires today, the 9^th of December 2019.

For this reason, we have to ask for an extension of the time limit by 15
working days, in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001. The new deadline expires on 09/01/2020. Please be assured that
we will do our utmost to send you the reply in the shortest time possible.

At the same time, we will like to inform you that the Legal Service is
also dealing with your request reference GestDem 2019/5977, concerning
documents relating to Case C-299/17. Please note that some consultations
concerning documents originating from third parties, under Article 4(4) of
Regulation (EC) N0 1049/2001, are still ongoing. Under these
circumstances, the Legal Service intends to send you, in the course of
this week, a reply concerning both its own documents and the documents for
which it has already received a reply to its consultations.
