We're waiting for Abdul Hai to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear European Defence Agency,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Can you tell me have you done any assessment on the impact of Brexit on the agency?
Can you tell me have you done any assessment on the impact of the proposed EU army after Brexit?

Can you tell me will the UK have any relationship with the agency after Brexit?

Dear Mr. Hai,

Further to your email of 27 November please note that the European Defence Agency (EDA) holds no future planning documents relating to the “assessment on the impact of Brexit on the agency”. Furthermore, please note that the EDA has not produced any future planning document on an “assessment on the impact of the proposed EU army after Brexit”. Lastly, the EDA has no future planning documents on a UK “relationship with the agency after Brexit”.

We inform you hereby that according to Article 7 of Regulation 1049/2001, you have the right to make a confirmatory application within 15 working days.

Finally, please note that the EDA is not involved directly in the BREXIT discussions and as such holds no documents related to it. However, for your reference, you may be interested to see the conclusions of the European Council on the status of BREXIT negotiations publicly available on the Council website (www.consilium.europa.eu).
