Dear Sir,

The ECB hereby confirms receipt, on 5 November 2013, of your application for access to “all correspondence between the ECB and German Minister for Finance Wolfgang Schaeuble regarding Ireland, and in particular Irish taxation policy and Irish Bank bailouts, in the past year.”

However, we would like you to clarify the term “in the past year”, i.e. do you mean “2012” or “October 2012 – October 2013”?

Once we have obtained this clarification, the ECB will assess your request in line with the ECB Decision governing the access to ECB documents (ECB/2004/3). The unofficial consolidated version of this ECB Decision is available on the <ECB website>. A reply will be provided to you within the deadline foreseen by this ECB Decision.
