Correspondence Dutch officials re bio-energy in relation to RED II

We're waiting for Renee van Hest to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Climate Action,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

I would like to retrieve all documents between September 2020 and June 2021 (including but not limited to email correspondence, agendas, transcripts, recordings and notes (hand written or electronic), lines to take and briefings) related to the topic of policy and/or strategy and/or grants and/or legislation regarding 'biomass' and/or ‘bio-energy’ in relation to ‘Renewable Energy Directive (RED II)’ wherein the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and/or Dutch officials and/or Dutch politicians are mentioned and/or play some kind of role.

Looking forward to your reply within 15 business days, according to the regulation.

We refer to your e-mail of 21 June 2021 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 21 June 2021 under the above mentioned
reference number. Your application is currently being handled.

However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your
application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires on 12
July 2021.

An extended time limit is needed for thorough analysis as to the
availability of the documents requested.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 03 August 2021.
