Correspondence & lobby meetings relating to Energy Charter Treaty

Energy has replied saying you have to contact another public body.

Dear Madams & Sirs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1) a list of meetings of DG Trade officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of individual companies and/or industry federations such as BusinessEurope, the European Services Forum (ESF), the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and/or law firms such as Freshfields, White & Case, Herbert Smith and Sidley, in which the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) was discussed (since January 2016);

2) minutes and other reports of these meetings;

3) all correspondence (including emails) between DG Trade officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and representatives of companies, business associations and law firms, in which the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) was discussed (since January 2016);

I would appreciate if you could take the Code of Good Administrational Behaviour into account when considering section 1 of this request.

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Madams & Sirs,

allow me to correct the request, which I just sent.

It obviously did not refer to DG Trade officials, but to officials (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) of DG Energy.

My apologies for the confusion.

Yours sincerely,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Madams & Sirs,
can you please let me know if you have received the above request, which I sent on 7 March? And inform me about when I can expect a response?
Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Ms Eberhardt,

Thank you for your requests.

We see that you have introduced two different requests on the Energy
Charter Treaty from two different email addresses:

* One to DG TRADE,  [1][email address]. link :
[2]https://www.asktheeu.org/es/request/corr...
* One to DG ENER, [3][FOI #4066 email]. link:
[4]https://www.asktheeu.org/es/request/corr....

You also sent a correction mail indicating the request is not destinated
to DG TERADE

Could you please confirm that DG TRADE does not have to deal with the
request on the Energy Charter Treaty?

Many thanks for the clarifications

Dear Madam & Sirs,
I have indeed sent two requests on the same isue - to you (DG ENER) and to DG Trade.
Both requests are still valid.
The request to DG Trade covers meetings and correspondence of DG Trade officials with certain companies and business lobby groups (on the Energy Charter Treaty).
The request to DG ENER covers meetings and correspondence of DG ENER officials with certain companies and business lobby groups (about the Energy Charter Treaty). In my initial request I had accidentally written 'DG Trade officials' - therefore the correction/ clarification.
I hope it is clear now.

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Madams & Sirs,

the deadline for this access to information request passed yesterday, without me receiving a response.

Can I kindly ask you to update me on the status of the request so that I can consider next steps?

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Madams and Sirs,

thank you for forwarding the response from DG Trade (which I had already received) to this address/ website.

So, does this mean that no one in DG Energy has been involved in any meetings with companies or business associations, in which the Energy Charter Treaty was discussed in 2016 and later? I find this hard to believe.

Can you please confirm that I understand this correctly?

Thank you very much.

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt
