Dear European External Action Service,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Any communications regarding the planned visit of the governor of Xinjiang Erkin Tuniyaz to Brussels in February 2023.

This should include any external contacts with the Chinese Mission to the EU or any other part of the Chinese government.

It should also include any internal communications over this matter, including memos, emails, texts, calls, or meetings that discussed the plans for the EU to meet this official.

The search should cover the period from when EEAS was first notified about the official's plans to visit Brussels, until the last available communications on the topic.

Yours faithfully,

Finbarr Bermingham
