Dear Mr Hai,

Thank you for your email dated 5th October 2018 requesting access to
documents pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. The European Banking
Authority (‘EBA’) strives to be transparent and open to as far an extent
possible.

As regards to your request for any documents related to the costs of
moving the EBA from London please find attached the following document -
“Note on relocation budget” which has been redacted on the basis of
Article 4(2) in that the disclosure would undermine the protection of
commercial interests and Article 4(3) in that the disclosure of the
document would seriously undermine the institution's decision-making
process.

As regards your request for any data on how many staff have chosen to stay
on with the body as it moves out of London, at this juncture the agency
does not have any cumulative and reliable data available as many staff
members have not made their decision yet.

As regards your request as to what compensation are staff getting for
moving, and how much this will this cost, pursuant to the Staff
Regulations of Officials and the Conditions of Employment of Other
Servants and relevant implementing rules staff members are entitled to
reimbursement of removal costs, payment of installation allowance, daily
subsistence allowance and reimbursement of travel from London to Paris.
The total cost depends on how many staff members will relocate with the
EBA to Paris and what their individual family situation is at the moment
of relocation.

As regards your request as to how many new staff will have to be
appointed, the EBA has organised selection procedures to establish reserve
lists for the most typical positions. The procedures are close to
finalisation and establishing reserve lists with candidates suitable for
replacement of resignations.

So far, all resignations in the context of relocation of the EBA to Paris
have been replaced.  The number of further potential resignations is not
known yet.

With regards to the above, please find attached – “Specific arrangements
to be offered to the EBA staff for relocation to the new seat of the EBA”
and “Specific arrangements for relocation to the new seat of the EBA”

Furthermore, you may find the minutes of the Management Board meetings at
