Data Retention positions of Member States
Dear Migration and Home Affairs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- The Responses by Member States submitted to the questionnaire within the Commission services non-paper on data retention (Contribution to the Council COPEN Working Party meeting of 16 June 2021).
In this non-paper, the Commission invited Member States to submit their views to different questions regarding the future of data retention legislation in the EU. A Council document containing the non-paper (WK 7294/2021 INIT) has been leaked and is available under the following link: https://www.statewatch.org/media/2592/eu...
I would like to request the disclosure of the responses of the Member States to to this non-paper.
Yours faithfully,
Balint Sedlmayr
