Dear Colleagues,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, provided in Regulation 1049/2001, I request documents about "Facebook", and that contain the terms "processing purpose" or "purpose of/for processing", in singular or plural.

I request all documents that fulfil this criterion from the date of the Commission's Communication (on the GDPR) of 4 November 2010 to the present day.

"Processing purpose" corresponds to the meaning in Article 5(1)b of the GDPR.

This request for documents includes, but is not limited to, minutes; notes, whether hand written or typed; audio recordings; verbatim reports; e-mails; correspondence, telephone calls, video calls, publications; reports; presentations; telephone calls; and policy papers.

I would very much appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Faithfully,

Dr Johnny Ryan

Dear Colleagues,

There is no valid procedural requirement that permits a refusal to register a request to access documents pending the provision of a postal address. Nor is any such requirement is cited in your correspondence. Therefore I anticipate your response within 15 days of my request, meaning by 17 April 2020.

The Commission has rightly directed its staff to work from their homes to reduce the risk to their health from Covid-19. In this situation it would be impractical for you to limit your response to hard copy. To minimise inconvenience and risk to your staff and to me, I request an electronic response only.

However, to avoid further delay, I copy my postal address here:
Brave London, Mindspace Shoreditch, 9 Appold St, London, EC2A 2AP, UK.

Yours faithfully,

Johnny Ryan
