Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Environment should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Environment,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

All correspondence/communication (letters, emails, text and whatsapp messages, minutes of meetings, etc) between DG Environment and representatitives of the Dutch government, specifically, but not exclusively, representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, relating the Water Framework Directive.

Within DG Environment I understand that it is unit C1 (Sustainable Freshwater Management) that is responsible for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. This request is not limited to this unit, but this information might help with the handling of this request.

This request includes all correspondence/communication send or received by Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius and members of his cabinet.

The timeframe of this request entails all documents produced between July 1st, 2020 and June 12th, 2023.

Please let me know if there is any additional information that might further facilitate your research.

Thanks for your efforts.

Kind regards,
Vincent Harmsen

ENV-ACCESS-DOCUMENTS@ec.europa.eu,

Hello,

We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 12 June 2023 under case number 2023/3337.

We are currently working on your request. However, we have not yet been
able to gather all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of
your request. We will not be able to send you the reply within the
prescribed time limit expiring on 3 July 2023.

This is because part of the documents requested originate from third
parties, which have been consulted.

we need to extend this time limit by 15 additional working days. The new
time limit expires on 25 July 2023.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Kind regards,

Jill Michielssen
