Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- A list of all internal meetings at DG FISMA that took place between 15 July 2019 and 15 July 2021 on the issue of the risk assessments carried out to identify high-risk third countries in the context of the EU’s anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) rules, and specifically those meetings in which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were mentioned and/or discussed in this context;

- Agendas, minutes, reports and other documentation of these meetings;

- All correspondence that took place within DG FISMA between 15 July 2019 and 15 July 2021 which mentions the UAE in the context of the risk assessments carried out to identify high-risk third countries in the context of the EU’s anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) rules and/or related to the identification and listing of high-risk third countries. This could include but is not limited to, e-mails, text messages, basis documents, memos or drafts.

This request extends to any information that the Commission holds in relation any of the above points, including information that may have been deemed short-lived or unimportant.
