EU Commission's contribution to Limnes/Menogeia camp
Dear Migration and Home Affairs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain information on the construction of the accommodation and pre-departure centres in the Menoyia area in Cyprus. Specifically, this request covers documents relating to:
- proposal submitted by the government of Cyprus for financial support to the construction of the centres.
- correspondence between DG Home and Cypriot authorities, related to funding the construction of the aforementioned centres, in the period from January 2020 until today (October 23rd 2022)
For the purposes of expediting my request, I am including below my postal address, as required for registering my request.
Andrea Zaimi 5
2113 Aglantzia
Nicosia, Cyprus
However, in consideration of the environment, I would prefer to receive documents electronically.
Yours faithfully,
Anas Ambri

Dear Mr Ambri,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 24 October 2022 under case number EASE 2022/6020.
We are currently working on your request. However, we have not yet been
able to gather all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of

I am submitting this confirmatory application as a formality. The delay shown in this request (case number 2022/6020) has been extremely excessive. Feel free to forward this application to SG, although, in the absence of any response from your office, any intervention from SG would be premature. However, I would appreciate if you could acknowledge reception, since I intend to forward your response as part of a complaint to the EU ombudsman.
