EU Pilot cases between 2008 and 2022

The request was successful.

Dear Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1. A list of EU Pilot cases from the EU Pilot database handled by the European Commission between January 1st 2008 and September 1st 2022, including the cases‘ reference numbers, titles and dates of issue, preferably in the format of xlsx, csv or json.

2. A list of complaints by businesses, business representatives or trade associations handled under EU Pilot during the same time period.

The transparency rules as set out in the Lisbon Treaty oblige the EU institutions to work as openly and as closely as possible to citizens. EU Pilot represents a highly effective instrument, which aims at preventing formal infringement procedures and which is essential for the functioning of the European Community. Thus, there is a clear public interest in the disclosure of these information.

Yours faithfully,

Moritz Neujeffski
