I refer to your emails of 9 and 9 April 2015, in which you submit a
request all documents, minutes of meetings, correspondence and evidence of
interaction between Cuadrilla and/or ConocoPhillips and DG Climate Action
relating to the European Science & Technology Network on Unconventional
Hydrocarbon Extraction in the last two years.

 

This is a very broadly formulated request. The description given in your
letter does not enable us to identify concrete documents which would
correspond to your request. Consequently, we are unable to handle your
request in its present form.

 

We therefore invite you, pursuant to Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001 regarding public access to documents, to make a more targeted
request and provide us with more detailed information on the documents
which you seek to obtain, such as the more specific subject /scope of the
request, references, dates and more specific periods during which the
document would have been produced, names and persons who drafted the
documents and provide us with any other relevant information which would
enable us to identify the documents falling under your request.

 

 

The 15 working days' time limit for handling your application will start

Dear Climate Action,

In clarification, please provide me with all documents that show interaction between DG CLIMA and ConocoPhillips and/or Cuadrilla in the lead up to the establishment of and the subsequent governance of the European Science & Technology Network on Unconventional Hydrocarbon Extraction, starting in April 2013 and ending in March 2015.

As the DG CLIMA Unit responsible for the establishment of the Network is Unit C.1, please focus on this unit, providing any document that makes reference to either company.
