Financial assistance to Ukraine

Economic and Financial Affairs has replied saying you have to contact another public body.

Gianluca Avagnina

Dear Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN),

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

-any type of financial assistance given to Ukraine from 2008 (year of the financial crisis) to 2013, specifying the amount and how the money was used;
-if any other EU body gave money to Ukraine for any sort of assistance in the same period of time;
-if possible, please specify the recipients of the money: in particular, was any money given to protest groups in Ukraine which support the EU during the 2014 revolution? If yes, what amount and to which groups?

Yours faithfully,

Gianluca Avagnina

Dear Sir,

Following your request regarding payments to Ukraine as part of
macro-financial assistance programme, please note that there were no
payments to Ukraine under the macro-financial assistance programme from
2008 to 2013. Therefore DG ECFIN does not have in its possession any
documents containing information about such payments.

To our knowledge, the only Commission department that has made payments to
Ukraine is EUROPEAID - DG DEVCO (Development and Cooperation). If you need
more information, please refer to their webpage:
