Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection

Dear Sir,

We refer to your e-mail dated 12/06/2018 in which you make a request for access to documents, registered on 18/06/2018 under the above mentioned reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires on 9/07/2018.

An extended time limit is needed as your application concerns a large number of documents and part of the documents requested originate from third parties which have been consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 30/07/2018.
We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Teffer,

We would like to inform you that DG ECHO is currently finalising a reply
to your request for access to documents registered as Gestdem 2018/3311.

The number of identified documents is significant (a few dozens) and we
are still awaiting an opinion of one of the three third parties who are
originators of parts of a document (consulted on the basis of Article 4(4)
and 4(5) of the Regulation 1049/2001). We apologize for the delay and hope
that it will not cause you any inconvenience.

In view of the amount of documents, it is possible that the mailing system
will not be able to pass/receive successfully the full package once the
decision is sent out. We will monitor carefully the transfer in order to
identify any problems as soon as possible. However, if you were to notice
any difficulties in that sense (e.g. empty messages, info from your mail
account), could you please let us know at your earliest convenience and we
will try to find another solution for transferring these heavy files.

Thank you and kind regards,

ECHO Access to Documents

Dear Madam, Sir,

Thanks for letting me know. May I point out that, if you have difficulties emailing the files, one technical solution may be to use the service Wetransfer instead?

cheers,
Peter
