Information on Incident in JORA database
Dear European Border and Coast Guard agency,
on the 28th of February 2018 a boat with 104 migrants was travelling towards Italy. The boat is an incident in Frontex’ JORA database (Incident Nr 231991). The Reporting Country that is stated in your database is Italy.
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the following documents:
1. All information in the JORA Database about Incident Number 231991 and
- a copy of the instruction manual for the JORA database and/or guidance given to Frontex staff and those working with the agency on how to complete the database.
- clarification on who is the reporting authority under Italy.
2. For the 28 February 2018, with regard to Frontex’s operational activities in the Central Mediterranean:
- all Technical Equipment Mission Reports;
- all ICC Daily reports and/or JCB Minutes; and
- all Daily reporting packages.
3. For all assets deployed under Operation Themis in the Central Mediterranean:
- all positions logged during 28 February 2018,
- all footage gathered on 28 February 2018.
4. All correspondence issued and received by Frontex during 28 February 2018
- this includes, but is not limited to, all correspondence exchanged with Italian and Maltese authorities and actors, Libyan actors, NGO and civil society actors, and any private actors such as merchant vessels; as well as Frontex internal correspondence;
