The request was successful.

Dear Joint Research Centre,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- All organisational charts of the JRC from January 2001 to today.
- All correspondence (including emails) between the JRC and DG GROW, DG ENV, as well as DG CLIMA (including the Commissioners and the Cabinets) mentioning strange emission behaviour for diesel vehicles from January 2001 to October 2015.
- A list of meetings between the JRC and DG GROW, DG ENV, as well as DG CLIMA (including the Commissioners and the Cabinets) relating to strange emission behaviour for diesel vehicles, the minutes of these meetings or any other reports or documents concerning them from January 2001 to October 2015.

If this request concerns a lot of documents, please do not hesitate to send them in several parts and do not hesitate to get back to me for any additional question which might help you deal with my request.

Yours faithfully,

Héloïse Brun

Dear Joint Research Centre,

Thank you for your quick answer. Regarding your request for more detailed information, by "strange emission behaviour for diesel vehicles", I meant "strange" as in described in the report on the inquiry into emission measurements in the automotive sector (2016/2215(INI)) on the pages 10, 38 and 45. Notably, it includes any references to cycle beating, or cars whose emissions measured during the NEDC test did not match those measured in real driving conditions.

Yours faithfully,

Héloïse Brun

Dear Joint Research Centre,

The deadline has passed but I still did not received most of the documents I am demanding access to, or received an answer to the precisions to my request that I sent.
Could you please update me on the status of my request?

Yours faithfully,

2019/2431.

We refer to your e-mail dated 16/04/2019 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 23/04/2019 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 23/05/2019.

An extended time limit is needed as your application requires consultation

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 18/06/2019.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Joint Research Centre,

Thank you for your reply. However, there is an issue with the compression and I cannot access some of the documents that you sent. More precisely, documents JRC88536.pdf, JRC88558.pdf, JRC90042.pdf, JRC93839.pdf, and JRC98054.pdf from "OTHER PUBLIC DOCUMENTS.7z" cannot be decompressed correctly and I haven't been able to find them on the JRC repository. Could you send them again ?

Yours faithfully,

Héloïse Brun
