Dear Trade,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I wonder why you decided to only provide information of meetings held in 2015. Is it possible to access a list of meetings held in 2013 and 2014?

Yours faithfully,

Pau Salarich

Dear Mr Salarich,

Thank you very much for your e-mail.

Regulation 1049/2001 applies only to existing documents in the possession of the institution concerned (Strack v Commission, C-127/13 P, §38). The Court of Justice has confirmed that "[a]n application for access that would require the Commission to create a new document, even if that document were based on information already appearing in existing documents held by it, [...] does not come within the parameters of Regulation No 1049/2001" (Typke v Commission, T-214/13, §55).

Separate lists of meetings for 2013 and 2014 of the EU Chief Negotiators meetings on TTIP only do not currently exist, and therefore they fall outside the application of Regulation 1049/2001.

Kind regards,
DG Trade
