Dear Trade,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Trade's handling of my FOI request 'Meeting between Christian Burgsmueller and celcaa'.

You have sent me the following document: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/3013...
which, according to your assessment, corresponds to the report of the meeting with CELCAA. This report is made of two sentences.

I would like to refer to your Guide to Staff Ethics and Conduct (2014) which has some rules around contacts with lobbyists. On meetings with lobbyists, the guide for instance instructs officials that “a written record of such meetings should be ensured where these contain important information or may involve action by the Commission. Such reports should be registered and filed.”

I do not consider that two lines represent a written record in any meaningful sense. I would like to have access please to the full report of this meeting.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/meet...

I look forward to your answer.

Yours faithfully,

Lora Verheecke

Dear Ms Verheecke,

Thank you very much for your e-mail.

We have inquired with the colleagues in the Cabinet and they confirm that the meeting report we have released to you on 1 July 2016 in reply to the your request for access to documents with reference GestDem 2016/3236, is the only document held by the Commission which contains a written record of the meeting between Christian Burgsmueller and CELCAA on 8 June 2016.

Kind regards,
DG Trade
