Dear Energy,

I can not give you more detailed information, as that is all the information the law I am based on provides. Please, understand those terms in the same way the article 3 of COMMISSION DECISION of 25 November 2014 (on the publication of information on meetings held between Directors-General of the Commission and organisations or self-employed individuals) does.

Moreover, the Agreement between the European Parliament and the European Commission on the transparency register for organisations and self-employed individuals engaged in EU policy-making and policy implementation (19.9.2014) establishes that transparency register does not apply to churches, religious communities. As such, I cannot identify them in advance and I expected you, as one of the bodies of the EC applying this transparency requirements to lobbyists, to do it.

Yours faithfully,

Josefina Martí

Dear Ms Martí,

Thank you for your email.

Could you please give me more information on the law you are based on in order to help us to identify better the scope of your request ?
Could you kindly specify the objective and the specific interest in the documents requested, so as to reduce our search to a more manageable amount of documents ?

If this can help you to provide us with more detailed information and identify some organisations you would like to target, I attach you the list of representing churches and religious communities (available via the Transparency Register).

Yours sincerely,

Dear Energy,

The transparency register only includes organisations that represent churches and religious communities, not churches by themselves. This is because the Agreement between the European Parliament and the European Commission on the transparency register for organisations and self-employed individuals (19.9.2014) exempts them from doing so. This is one of the legislations I am based on.
Also, on Article 3 of the COMMISSION DECISION of 25 November 2014 on the publication of information on meetings held between Members of the Commission and organisations or self-employed individuals.
My objective is to know all the meetings between members of the Commssion and members of this churches and religious communities that do not have to register (for example a meeting with a bishop).

Yours faithfully,

Josefina Martí
