Dear Danny Magill,

 

We refer to your e-mail dated 24/03/2020 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered under the above-mentioned reference
number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 17/04/2020.

 

An extension of time is necessary as your application concerns documents
held by different services, which must be consulted. In particular, you
request documents that concern meetings with the Commissioner, members of
the Cabinet and other staff in Directorate Mobility and Transport.

 

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit by 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 08/05/2020.

 

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

COVID’19 outbreak undoubtedly has an impact on the process of handling

In our holding reply, dated 16/04/2020, we asked an extension of time to
reply to your request since defined documents are held by different
Commission services, who must have been consulted. The new time limit
expires today, 08/05/2020.

COVID’19 outbreak and the current crisis management in the Commission
services undoubtedly has an impact on the process of handling access to
documents requests under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. Please note that
your application is currently being handled by DG MOVE services. However,
under these exceptional circumstances related to COVID’19 crisis
management, the handling of your request will be delayed.

Due to the current COVID’19 situation and a large-scale of teleworking in
the Commission services, all replies, which should normally be sent via
registered post, currently are sent only by e-mail. Accordingly, we kindly
ask you to confirm upon receipt of this email.
