Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

All documentation, including but not limited to, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, minutes/notes and email correspondence about or summarising, the following meetings of the cabinet members of Commissioner Kadri Simson with multiple organisations:

1. Meeting with Lightsource BP on 30/03/2022 on Solar Power Europe views on how to boost the manufacturing and deployment of solar PVs in the EU.

2. Meeting with IOGP Europe on 28/03/2022 on the 8 March Commission communication, the ongoing work to diversify gas supplies and diminish the fossil fuels supplies from Russia, IOGP ability to help in this process.

3. Meeting with Shell on 17/03/2022 on energy prices, security of supply of gas

I refer to your  mail of 05/07/2022, registered on that same day, by which
you submit a confirmatory application in accordance with Article 7(2) of
Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European
Parliament, Council and Commission documents. 

Your confirmatory application is currently being handled. Unfortunately,
we have not yet been able to gather all the elements we need to carry out
a full analysis of your request in order to take a final decision and,
therefore, we are not in a position to reply to your confirmatory request
within the prescribed time limit expiring 27/07/2022. Consequently, we
have to extend this period by another 15 working days in accordance with
Article 8(2) of Regulation 1049/2001. The new deadline expires on 18
August 2022.

Parliament, Council and Commission documents[6]^[3] (hereafter Regulation
1049/2001).

 

I also refer to our holding reply dated 25/07/2022, by which the time
limit for replying to your confirmatory request was extended by 15 working
days, pursuant to Article 8(2) of the Regulation. This extended time limit
expires on 18/08/2022.

 

Unfortunately, we are not yet in a position to provide you with our final
position within this deadline given the delay took with our service
consultation concerning your request. I regret this additional delay and
sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
