Meetings with stakeholders on REPowerEU
Dear Energy,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1- all correspondence (including email, SMS, private twitter and WhatsApp) since 1st February 2022 between Commissioner Simson, and/or her cabinet and/or officials from DG Energy with representatives from Wintershall, Uniper Fortum, OMV, RWE, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Eni, Equinor, Repsol, Galp in which the EU’s response to Ukraine invasion, particularly REPowerEU, was discussed.
2- any briefings prepared for Commissioner Simson, and/or her cabinet and/or officials from DG Energy for meetings since 1st February 2022 with representatives from Wintershall, Uniper Fortum, OMV, RWE, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Eni, Equinor, Repsol, Galp in which the EU’s response to Ukraine invasion, particularly REPowerEU, was discussed.
3 - minutes of all meetings since since since 1st February 2022 between Commissioner Simson, and/or her cabinet and/or officials from DG Energy with representatives from Wintershall, Uniper Fortum, OMV, RWE, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, Eni, Equinor, Repsol, Galp in which the EU’s response to Ukraine invasion, particularly REPowerEU, was discussed. This should include minutes of those meetings listed on the Transparency section of the DG ENER website.
4 - if any are identified, please be so kind as to create a list of the meetings mentioned above.
I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
To the extent possible, we prefer the documents in electronic format. Documents that cannot be sent in electronic format should be sent to Corporate Europe Observatory, Rue d’Edimbourg 26, 1050 Brussels.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
I reserve the right to appeal.

This request is dated November 23rd 2022.
I submitted it because you have spent 6 months ignoring the previous one. Which is why I've now submitted a confirmatory application.
This one is not identical as it is dated from 23 November rather than April.
If you are going to close any of them, it would be the other one. However, if you are going to do that, then please confirm that you respond to this one immediately, and include the extra documents that I was expecting from the previous one.
If you are not able to do this, then I would respectfully ask that you do not close this one and instead answer it.

extended to the date of the initial reply (which includes also the scope
