Dear Madam,

We refer to your e-mail dated 18/05/2012 in which you make a request for
access to documents registered under the above mentioned-reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 13/06/2012.

An extended time limit is needed as the information you requested has to
be retrieved from the historical paper archives.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 04/07/2012.

We apologize for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Human Resources and Security (HR),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Human Resources and Security (HR)'s handling of my FOI request 'Michael Berendt'.

I made my request on 18 May 2012 and receive an acknowledgement saying it was registered on 22 May 2012. In June I received a message saying that the time limit would have to be extended with 15 working days, so the new time limit expired on 04 July 2012. However, I have not received any answer after that.

Therefore, the response to my request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, the authority should have responded by now.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Dear Madam,

Please find attached the reply I dispatched on 29 June 2012. As you can see in this reply, I unfortunately sent the reply to a slightly different address that you used for another request you made the same day than this one, and to which I equally replied on 29 June 2012 (GESTDEM - 2012/2443).

I apologize for this mistake and wish you a nice weekend.

Best regards,

Christine Judmaier
