New request on Media Ownership Directive

Alexander Fanta made this access to documents request to Communications Networks, Content and Technology

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

This request has had an unusual response, and requires attention from the AsktheEU.org team.

Dear Communications Networks, Content and Technology,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request further documents on the internal deliberations within the Commission in 1996 and 1997 on the draft 'Media Ownership Directive'.

To clarify what I am looking for, I would like to make reference to your reply on January 19, 2023 regarding my previous request, GestDem 2022/5204. There you outline all the documents the Commission has on file regarding this issue.

My new request is meant to cover letters, position papers, speeches from Member States on the Media Ownership Directive, as well as documents from the Directorate-General XV relating to the media ownership directive and documents relating to the work of high level expert groups/Working Groups.

Yours faithfully,

Alexander Fanta
