Notification procedure regarding building new nuclear reactors at Paks NPP, Hungary

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Energy should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Energy (ENER),

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Information on the notification procedure under Euratom Treaty regarding the plans of building new nuclear reactors at Paks Nuclear Power Plant, Hungary. I request the official notification letter from Hungary, as well as the Commission's answers, and all related documents, letters which have been created in this subject.

Reference is made to your email of 17 February, in which you requested to
be given access to the documentation related to the notification, under
the Euratom Treaty, of the PAKS nuclear power plant in Hungary.

 

Please be advised that this investment project has not yet been notified
to the Commission under Article 41 of the Euratom Treaty, and therefore at
the moment no documents can be found in the Commission's possession that
would be covered by your request.

 

Should you require any further clarifications, please do not hesitate to

Regarding my request I require further clarification. According to the Hungarian Minister of National Development, notification was made under Article 103 of the Euratom Treaty. I request the official notification from Hungary under Article 103, as well as any other Articles, and also the Commission's answers, and all related documents, letters which have been created in this subject.
