Official position of the Dutch government on fisheries transparency

The request was successful.

Dear Permanent Representation of Netherlands to the EU,

Under the Netherlands’ Law on the Openness of Administration, Wet Openbaarheid van Bestuur (WOB), I kindly request access to any document in your possession on the position of the Dutch government on the amendments proposed by the European Parliament on 10 March 2021 on the EU fisheries control Regulation.

I am specifically interested in the amendments to articles 93 and 113 to of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009 - the EU Fisheries Control Regulation, which are currently being discussed in trilogue negotiations between the European Parliament, Council and Commission.

I am requesting documents, including emails and meeting minutes, that include information on the position of the Dutch government on the above.

Given that the trilogue discussions are ongoing, I would appreciate a speedy response to my request.

I remain at your disposal should you need further information.

Yours faithfully,
Martina Tombini

Onderwerp: FW: access to documents request - Official position of the Dutch government on fisheries transparency

Dear Martina Tombini,

We have received your request in good order. Before sending a formal reply, I wanted to inform you that there are only a few documents available that give (limited) information on the Dutch position with regard to the amendments of the European Parliament on the control regulation for fisheries. I was wondering if, instead of sharing these documents, you would be interested in a meeting in which we can clarify our position on the control regulation and answer your questions.

Kindly contact me through e-mail or below telephone number.

Regards,

Carian Posthumus Meijjes
