OLAF investigation in to Universal Certification PPE (CE 2163)

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, European Anti-Fraud Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear European Anti-Fraud Office,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Documentation showing the conclusions of OLAF's investigation in to PPE certified by 'Universal Certification' (Notified body number 2163) https://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databa... and any documents providing reasons that their authorisation to certify PPE appears to have been removed.

We refer to your application for public access to documents dated 29
November 2021, registered in OLAF under Ares(2021)7832506.

 

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days.

 

An extended time limit is needed for necessary consultations with other EC
services.

 

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) N° 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit will expire on 19 January
2022.
