Dear Sender,

This is to let you know that I tried to reply to your request in relation
to any information on the following matters:

1. Are any open-air tests of techniques or products  using new breeding
technologies or biotechnologies for pest control purposes (including new
genomic techniques, precision bred organisms, gene silencing, gene
driving, RNAi-based pesticides, etc) being considered, planned and/or
realised on the territory of the EU?

2. Are any open-air tests of techniques or products using new breeding
technologies or biotechnologies for pest control purposes (including new
genomic techniques, precision bred organisms, gene silencing, RNAi-based
pesticides, etc) being considered, planned and/or realised outside the
territory of the EU and to which the EU contributes, in whole or in part
(financially or otherwise) ?

Unfortunately I received this message when trying to reply in the
AsktheEU.org website.

Nevertheless this is to let you know that we don’t hold any information if
any applications as outlined have been submitted to any Member State
Authority. An application as GMO would also be needed if an organism is
involved (as opposed to the product being just a genetic element and not
an organism).

We would advise the requester to refer to the Commission as Member State
Authority should notify them if they receive any such application.

We hereby confirm that we don’t hold any document in the remit of this
request.

With kind regards,

Dimitra Kardassi
