Dear Justice and Consumers,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1) List of people and organizations that the European Commission sent Privacy Shield questionnaires to;
2) Copy of the Privacy Shield questionnaire (or questionnaires if there is more than one type); and,
3) Copies of responses to the Privacy Shield questionnaire.

Background: On June 5, 2017, the Hunton Privacy Blog reported that the European Commission was sending out questionnaires on Privacy Shield and responses to the questionnaires would be due by July 5, 2017. It is my understanding that the European Commission may have also sent questionnaires to US government offices and privacy advocacy groups.

I request to be provided with these public documents free of charge, because it is in the public interest to release these documents. If any part of this request is denied, I request to be informed of the decision and the reason why. In addition, please tell me by what date I will receive the public documents.
