Privatisation under the Economic Adjustment Programmes

Martin Konecny made this access to documents request to Economic and Financial Affairs

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Economic and Financial Affairs should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN),

The Economic Adjustment Programs and respectively their reviews for Greece, Portugal and Ireland contain obligations to privatise state owned companies or assets in companies. In part the documents on the Adjustment Programs contain detailed lists on the concerned companies and the timeframe of their privatization.

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as
developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which
contain the following information:

All correspondence, minutes of meetings, logs (and notes) of phone calls between Vice-President Olli Rehn or his cabinet and private sector companies (representatives) or private sector companies associations (representatives) concerning the privatisation of state owned companies and state owned assets in the above listed countries related to the Economic Adjustment Programs.

Additionally I want the same informations on the Economic Adjustment Program currently agreed on with Cyprus.

Yours faithfully,

Martin Konecny
