Dear European Parliament,
since I had requested the publication of the PETI hearing documents on the EU open data portal a long time ago there is no progress. This data is publicly available as printed document in the EU Parlament in all EU languages. As it seems the PETITION Committee is not aware of similar petitions (e.g 1229/20013 and 0435/2012) and the data is not available to the public it would help the European Citizens to search themselves in their own language.
Therefore, under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
All hearing documents in all EU languages since 2009. (Just to be clear, on 19th March 2014 this has been a two volume set of roughly 120 Pages only in German language. Therefore I request to get these documents as OCR searchable documents on a USB stick.
Still I would prefer when all this information is published on the EU Open Data Portal as a proper service for EU citizens. Then I am willing to review my request and if I am convinced all will be on the open data portal, maybe to take this request back.
