Dear DG ENVIRONMENT ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS TEAM

I don't agree with the new requirement where the Commission asks for a postal address in order to register a 1049/2001 request. This actually makes it impossible to file such a request via the AsktheEU website if a person making a request doesn't want their private address published. There is no reason to justify this requirement, and in fact it has many benefits for the Commission if requests are handled digitally via this website, which allows all EU citizens to access the requested documents once access has been granted.

However, in order to get my request registered (and handled), I hereby, under protest, supply the postal address of Corporate Europe Observatory as contact address for this request:
Corporate Europe Observatory
26, Rue d'Edimbourg
B-1050 Brussels, Belgium.

Yours faithfully,

Erik Wesselius
