Dear European External Action Service,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Impact analysis/assessments of the Economic Partnership Agreement in SADC (and any communication between the negotiators and trade experts/researchers about these reports) (before 2004)
Proposals and consultation papers for the SADC-EPA agreement*
Negotiation mandates and directives for the SADC EPA*
List of EU negotiators, trade experts, researchers involved in the preparation of the SADC EPA and negotiations (first negotiation period 2003- 2007)
any documents/communication on the SADC EPA between the Commissioner for Trade, the DG Trade official responsible for the SADC EPA region and the representatives of DG Trade, Development, etc. *
*up to the end of the first negotiation period in 2007
Minutes of SADC-EPA negotiations (first negotiation round 2003- 2007)
Review of EU-SADC EPA or EU-SADC monitoring and evaluation report
Minutes of Biannual Ministerial Meetings SADC & EU (between 1994 and 2004)
Minutes of the first Africa-EU Summit (2000 Cairo, Egypt)
I would really appreciate it if you could already release documents (electronic format) when they are retrieved instead of waiting until you have collected all the requested documents.

Thank you for your request. Please note that the EEAS has asked the Historical Archives of the European Institutions to search for the requested documents held by the EEAS in the past.
We will make every effort to process your request as quickly as possible. However the time frame will depend on the number of documents identified and therefore to be examined. Based on the current request, EEAS will not be able to complete its assessment within the normal time limits set out in Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1049.
