Santa Claus' visit to Chios aboard a Frontex ship
Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,
On December 13th, a Facebook post on your agency's official account described a Santa Claus visit aboard the CP 421, an Italian coast guard vessel deployed by Frontex in Greece. The post noted that the agency has received many requests from schools for similar visits.
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- correspondence from the aforementioned schools, describing "received requests for more visits and demonstrations from other schools"
- copies of messages received through the agency's social media platforms, in relation to this event.
- correspondence between Frontex and the crew of the R.Aringhieri vessel, in preparation for the visit described above.
- financial documents for purchases for the purpose of this event.
I define “correspondence” as including (but not limited to) the following:
- Emails (and their attachments)
- Letters
- Memos
- Briefings
- Research documents
- Notes taken during telephone conversations
- Minutes taken during meetings/invitations
Yours faithfully,
Anas Ambri
