Side Event to the 9th EU Forum on the Rights of the Child - 2015

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

All internal and external documents related to the organisation of the Side Event on 3 June 2015 - on access to justice – FRA/UNICEF in partnership with EP intergroup on rights of the child.

Especially, but not exclusively, as concerns the budget, payments, rent of room, travel expenses and the agenda-setting and coordinating mails with DG JUST of the European Commmission and the EP intergroup on rights of the child.

Yours faithfully,

Arun Dohle

Dear European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights,

Due to a technical issue, it seems I handed in a double request. Please ignore this one.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Yours faithfully,

Arun Dohle

Dear FRA - Documents,

I would welcome an explanation as to why, unlike other EU Institutions, the FRA does not seem willing to provide public access through Ask the EU.

Therefore, for the moment, I maintain the current request.

Anything relating to children's rights deserves to be dealt with in in full transparency. I can see no reason for an exception for this specific request, as it seems hardly a sensitive issue. At least it should not be.

Yours sincerely,

Arun Dohle

Dear Mr Dohle,

Public access to document applications to the European Union Agency for
Fundamental Rights are submitted via the Agency’s website, where the
applicant can complete the online form or .pdf, as publicised.

Please be informed that it is the decision of each institution to adapt
the rules of procedure to Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, and the FRA has
therefore developed its own provisions to manage such applications
(Article 18 (1) – Application measures - Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001).

This enables the Agency to ensure that requests are made in a precise
manner and contain, in particular, sufficient elements to enable the FRA
to identify that the applicant is a citizen or resident of the Union
(Article 2 (1) – Beneficiaries and Scope - Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001).   This also assists us to reduce voluminous requests that can
be submitted under multiple anonymous identities when no such parameters
are in place.

You are welcome to upload the documents that we may disclosed on asktheEU
platform.

We would be grateful if you could please submit your request via our
online form, which can be found here:
[1]http://fra.europa.eu/en/about-fra/regist...
, where the Agency will start processing your application once received.

Kind regards.
