State-aid clearance for Ferguson Marine in Scotland
Dear Competition,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Discussions or correspondence that the European Commission has had with the Scottish Government regarding a loan to be given to Ferguson Marine, including regarding any clearance that it sought in order to comply with state-aid rules.
Any discussion that the European Commission has had with the Scottish Government regarding any potential state investment or loans into Scotland’s ferry industry or ship building industry.
All correspondence or discussions with the Scottish Government, or any of bodies of the Scottish Government concerning the total £45 million loan to Ferguson Marine by the Scottish Government.
