Third-parties work in relation to NextGenerationEU

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Energy should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Energy,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- Evidence of any work or services, of any kind, provided by third-parties (e.g. consultancy firms) to DG Energy in relation to a) Recovery and Resilience Facility and b) ReactEU.
I refer to both paid and pro-bono work and services, concerning any aspects of the abovementioned initiatives.

- Names of the identified third-parties, description of the work or services provided.

- All correspondence between DG Energy, or the Commissioner and her Cabinet, and the following parties, concerning a) NextGenerationEU, b) Recovery and Resilience Facility, and c) ReactEU: McKinsey & Company; Boston Consulting Group; PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC); Ernst & Young Global Limited (EY); Deloitte; Accenture plc.

Dear Mr Runci,

 

We refer to your e-mail dated 17/03/2021 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 18/03/2021 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 13/04/2021.

An extended time limit is needed for thorough analysis as to the
availability of the document requested.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 04/05/2021.
