Transition LSA Sportcruiser from EASA annual permit-to-fly to permanent permit
Dear European Aviation Safety Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The transition policy for LSA’s has been defined by EASA. This request seeks information on the implementation of that policy for one specific aircraft type, the Czech built Sportcruiser.
I request copies of the following documents:
1. Minutes of meetings, letters and records of conversations between EASA and the Czech national civil aviation authority on the subject of the transition to a permit and in particular any requests or proposals concerning modifications to the aircraft.
2. Minutes of meetings, letters and records of conversations between EASA and the manufacturer of the Sportcruiser, namely Czech Sport Aircraft (CSA), and in particular any requests or proposals concerning modifications to the aircraft.
3. Internal document, memos and reports generated by EASA in relation to this subject, in particular the evaluation of different options considered.
No commercially sensitive information is being requested. What is sought are documents to enable understanding of where EASA is in the transition process and the basis for the current position being adopted by EASA and CSA.
Yours faithfully,
Dr. Michael A Naylor
